It's RAINING LIKE CRAZY! and there was a lot of white last Saturday!
Date: July 23, 2008Area: Boon Dang (분당)
Companion: Elder Choi Jeong Hun
Well hello family,
ok ok ok, so yes we baptized 4 people. The mom (Lee Ok Ja) two kids ( Choi Yong Jun and Choi Seung Jun) and Suzy. Then a member baptized his best friend (Nam Yong Shik) Let's just say it was a lot of white. I baptized Lee Ok Ja and Choi Yong Jun, Elder Gee baptized Suzy and Choi Seung Jun. It was incredible. Presdient Burton and Sister Burton came along with around 8 investigators. Everything went perfectly.
And yes, Elder Gee got transferred. and.....my new companions name is Elder Choi Jeong Hun. Now for those of you who are big on the Korean language..that's a Korean's name. So I'm with a Korean now. He's from down south in Korea (you can't come from many other directions here....) and he's 20. He's been going to American schools (in Korea) since middle school and did 2 years at BYU Hawaii....so needless to say hes pretty good at english. I do plan on learning a lot of Korean though....should be a pretty sweet transfer. This is his fourth transfer so im the senior companion. Pray for me!
Other than having the baptisms...the week was pretty uneventful except for members and investigators taking us out for meals...(I think I may have gained 5 pounds this week alone. But other than that, we hope to get some more dates here soon.
Definitely send those CD's and the trek DVD as well...I'll watch it on a pday at the church or something, there's a DVD player there. I would love to see it. How's the new EFY cd...better than last year I hope..the last one wasn't that great. I'm expecting letters from the girls about efy as well.
I sent home around 350 pictures last week...(before the baptism) but I attached a few pictures on here so you can see.
I got some new shoes last week. They were only around a hundred and their really nice. They tie up but they have elastic so you can slip them on as well. pretty cool.
It's raining literally buckets of water outside...it's not supposed to stop until the day after tomorrow either....makes things a bit interesting.
Well I love you all family, sounds like summer is still crazy as ever. Have a great week and dont forget FHE...
Love ya,
Brinton
