Hey there,
So maybe that subject line was a little surprising to you as well. No I'm not actually checked into the hospital. I'm sure youd know if I was. We went to visit JJkim today and they have some computers here so we just decided to email here. He got checked into the hospital a few days ago, I'm not really sure whats wrong but he has to get some surgery tomorrow. He called me up a few days ago and asked that I come visit him. This is the first time he has to be in the hospital without the support of his wife. She also had to get a surgery a few days ago and consequently is in the hospital as well, but in a different hospital on the other side of Seoul. He's doing well, just hates the hospital. I think I'd say the same thing if I had been in and out of them for the last 20 years.
Training is definitely hard, but of course it's way fun as well. Yes, he's from Springville, I'm just not that good at english anymore. haha. He has 2 older brothers and an older sister. I don't think he knows Jack and Tam. He's way cool though. I read him a couple of my journal entries from the first couple weeks I was here and he said they were almost word for word exactly what he was thinking. I turned out okay so I'm sure he'll be fine too. His korean is progressing really really fast. I'm pushing him too. I make him start all the lessons and I want him to pass off this first transfer like I did.
It doesnt really sound like youve had a dull week since I left home. Man you guys are always busy! I'm glad you and dad got away for the evening. Sounds like you both needed it. Dad, howss work going lately? Still busy as ever im sure. Mom, I brag about you all the time and your amazing picture taking abilities. Could you send me a copy of the sailboat picture and some of the lightning ones from Tucson. I want to show your talent off more.
The work has been a little slower the last few weeks. It's been hard to find investigators and the ones we have are having trouble finding time to meet with us. But on the flipside of things, our ward all of a sudden is gaining a lot more interest in helping the missionaries and so I'm hoping we can get some good referrals from them.
There's not really any food in korea that I've had that I haven't at least liked a little bit. I'ive said it before...I could live on korean food the rest of my life. no problem. it's definitely a lot healthier than american food anyway. But then again, there are some things that you can make mom, that just can't be replaced. I must say, the first thing I want when I walk into our house is a homemade ham and cheese sandwhich with bacon and lettuce. with some mustard. I think that's the one food I miss the most. (only if mom makes it though)
Having a greenie kinda makes you think of home a little bit. After all, they were in America not too long ago.
Well, I love you guys, HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
love,
Brinton
