Elder Brinton Johnson's Mission Site

I love it here. It's pretty amazing. Last Tuesday night. (after I sent my previous letter) we had a devotional wiht Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Twelve Apostles. It was pretty amazing to even be in the same room. Every Tuesday, we have the opportunity to hear from a General Authority. In the next couple weeks, a whole bunch of new mission presidents will be entering the MTC, (including the new Seoul West Mission Pres.) and at one time or another, the Entire First Preisdency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will be here on campus.
Last Sunday, after the MTC choir practice, they called out a bunch of names from the choir to meet with the director. Ealier in the rehearsal we had filled out a survey about our singing experience and what not. So when we met with the director. (36 of us out of over 500 people in the MTC choir that Sunday) were asked to sing at the meetings in which the new mission Presidents were going to be trained. So, if you didn't quite connect the dots, yes, I will be singing to the new Mission Presidents with the Prophet and First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve about 5-10 ft. behind me. I can't begin to describe how excited and humbled I am. Not this coming week, but the week after, we get to sing 6 different songs at 4 different meetings. I can't wait and will definitely let you know what it's like to be that close to the Prophet........
