Alright well first off, I'm glad you finally got the package. I was getting frustrated trying to tell him how I wanted to send it so i just went with whatever, I'm fine on money. Ive just bought a few things here and there. Like ties of course. But im fine, the money i take out is just for miscilaneous stuff.
And secondly, I haven't received anything from Home since i got here. I dont know, ive gotten everything else from grandparents and what not and something from Maria. But thats it. I didnt get any mail today either. Oh well, just use the address Sister Burton gave you...since I assume she knows best.
did Shyla like the gift? nothing much...but the best I could do at the time.
As far as food. I wouldnt mind some good snack foods. Just something to munch on. And anything else you wouldnt mind sending. I sent some letters to the girls last week. Im gonna finish up a letter and send my card tomorrow for you.
I guess our area is normal.I dont really know what normal is. We do a whole lot of walking. We usually ride the bus to get around it. We have a bus card that we fill up from time to time. We dont really get fed at members houses cuz our ward is so small. But if you go to any koreans house, their gonna give you something. Thats just korean style. We go out to eat a lot..its pretty cheap. Like 2-3 bucks for a good meal. American chains are kinda expensive though. Except for mcdonalds. their actually a little cheaper here.
Our baptism last week fell through and we were gonna try again this week, but he called us and pretty much put it off indefinately..we're probably gonna drop him this week. Oh well, life goes on. We teach those who need and want to be taught. We may have gotten a couple new investigators this week though. The work never stops going. I'd say the knowledge about the church is about the same in america. A lot of people dont know who we are exactly and the ones that have heard anything have a lot of misconceptions. A lot more people know the term "mormon" since its konglish. Which means its just translated into korean and sounds about the same.
By the way, send me some more family and just candid pictures to put in my photo album...Koreans love looking at pictures!
Everything else it going pretty well. Mission conference and my first temple trip are next week so that should be fun. By the way, Sister Burton asked me to sing with a few other missionaries at the conference. should be fun.
I love you all,
Brinton
