FAMILY!!!!!!
Wow, I don't think I've ever gotten that many emails in my entire life....I feel special! Thank everyone for the love and letters and cards I'll hopefully get later in the mail. Mom, I got the package...it was empty though! weird huh...
Anyways, yesterday was our amazing Mission Conference with Elder Yamashita of the seventy. It was absolutely awesome and way crazy spiritual. I practiced the very little japanese I knew on him and his wife and they appreciated it.
Today a ward member is taking the four of us out to Outback Steakhouse for lunch for my birthday so that should be pretty sweet. I'll be sure to take some pictures. By the way, i should be sending some pictures home soon. Im just working on copying some from other cameras in the house.
Ok, so yes I did get the package and no it wasn't empty. I decided over a long course of about 30 seconds that it was okay to open it so that I could tell you thank you even sooner! (see mom, im a smart kid, im 20 years old !) My companion loved his little light thing...I told him it was cooler than mine....Thank you so much for everything, it was perfect. I was actually planning on buying a oil vial soon, but this one is way cooler so thanks! Tell everyone thank you for singing and for the awesome card as well.
By the way, I thought I was born and 12:06, but hey, you say 12:03 so I'm not gonna argue...i mean, it just wasnt that memorable of an experience for me. I'm sure mom you can relay a few more details of the night than I can. (He's right it was 12:06, I guess I had brain loss when I wrote his letter)
Well, on to more important things. Missionary work is still happening and on Monday, my birthday, it's just gonna be another day that I get to be a missionary.
Our investigators are doing well, we still have a ton and still no baptismal dates, but a lot of potential. We picked up a new investigator last week that ended up coming to church before we even taught him. We taught him this past week and he is AWESOME. He understands really well, and makes sure he understands. We asked him to come to church again and he simply said...of course! We could have our first baptismal candidate here!
Unfortunately, it's been tough to meet a lot of people lately. For some reason, everyone seems to be busy or doing something or going out of town. But its going good. Transfers are coming up in a couple weeks. I think their on the 20th or something. Of course ill let you know what happens.
Again, thank you for all the pictures, emails, love, and other stuff. I love you guys,
Brinton
P.S. Elder Hymas (another Elder in the house, I was in the MTC with him) and I are going to shave our legs today...cool, huh? I'll take pictures!
