Merry Christmas Donovan! I know that this is early but that is better than late which I have been for both your birthday and Thanksgiving. I want you to know how much I loved the letter you sent to your ward. It touched my heart to see the growth and depth of testiimony that you have attained in such a short time. All of us back home need to be reminded of the work that we need to do. I love that you are having such a wonderful experience and commend you on the attitude that you have chosen to lead out with. This experience is blessing your life as well as so many others. I hope you have a wonderful Christ centered Christmas. It will be one of your best I think. Afterall you are giving the best gift that can be given to anyone and the only cost is your effort and time. I am really proud of you and send all my love.

Hey Donovan! Happy Birthday!!! I'm sure birthday's in the mission field are kinda weird - but know that we're all thinking about you! It's hard to beat your mom's birthday dinners, but I'm sure you'll be getting some awesome packages. Have a GREAT birthday! One down, one to go.

p.s. great scripture choice for your plaque!

Hey Donovan!

Congrats on your first baptism! I think you and Jared will have similar stories regarding 1st baptisms. He had to use some serious strength to get his girl completely under the water. You'll have to compare notes when you get home. We LOVE your letters. You are such a great missionary. Keep it up - we're so proud. You're exactly where your supposed to be

Keep those letters coming!

Hi Donovan, Its great to hear about the experiences you are having with the people in Porto/Brazil haha. The other day I looked up Porto, and found a map of it, and it looked like the map of Whoville! Also saw pictures of really cool old buildings and a beautiful shot of the city next to the river. I'm sure its an awesome place. I'm so pleased to see your progress and willingness to serve.
I Love you buddy.
Dan

HI ELDER DONOVAN-not sure if you heard but bishop winters had his bone tail boa confiscated for lack of adequate food weekly and lack of water on many visit by animal control (me). so in the pillow case he went and is now on road to recovery and growth at our facility, the odds of him wanting to return to hesperia are .......... WELL ZERO
on same visit the blue tongue had his first taste of fruit and with promises from other members of the household it will not be his last, so he was allowed to stay, although he will miss his undernourished snake cell mate, the boa.

Hi Donovan,

We love to read your letters. It is wonderful to hear all you are doing. The priesthood leaders there sound wonderful.

Your less active members will need your love and support. They will care about coming to church, when they know you really care about them. Service shows you care.

We laughed at your Flour Fight. We want to see how hard on your cloths it was.

Take care, all our Love and Prayers.

Hi Donovan, It is so great to read your letters. It would be fun to have you share the scriptures that you would like to put on the plaque back home. It is always interesting to enter into a discussion on the scriptures. I have a few that I will share with you in an upcoming letter. Keep up the good work and remember obedience brings great blessings. Love ya

Donovan I am in shock! Not to see you out there on a mission because I knew you would be a great missionary, but to see you in pants that fit you, and ties that aren't made for a four year old, and a very handsome hair cut! We are so excited for you, and so proud of you. Thank you for setting a good example for our boys. We have thought about you and included you in our prayers very often. Dan loves you and always will, you are very special to him. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care of yourself.
