Hola Elder, I hope that you are doing well and keeping cool this time of year. I hope that the people are wonderful and that you are having a great experience as you wrap up your last 4 months. Wow, it has gone fast for me... how about you? We are enjoying our steady 68 to 79 degree weather here in Carlsbad this time of year. McCall is home from BYU and a month in Ecuador working at some orphanages. Aunt JC spends 2 or 3 hours at the gym every day and enjoys getting a tan and I continue to work like a dog so that they can enjoy their comfy lives. See what you have to look forward to for the next 40 or 50 years... It is worth it. I Love them and want to be an eternal family. I hope that you are helping out in the making of some eternal families down there. Keep working hard, be obedient and wrap up strong. Train up some Nephis or Ammons or Helemans that will be great missionaries that can learn from you. I am proud of you and love you and look forward to hearing all about it in the 4th quarter. Uncle BRAD

Hi, Elder,
I know you have been working hard - are you in the Southern Hemisphere? So did your dad tell you he is the new YM President? Bro. Dulany is the scout master, and we have a couple that moved in who lived in So. Africa. Jilyn Bosch Meyers had a baby girl, and soon the Bosch's will be leaving on a mission. Our Christmas party is coming up on Saturday. Should be extra special; Sis. Dulany says it will be very reverent and the choir will be singing. We have been practicing so much for our ward Christmas program. I guess your parents will be out of town for that, we will miss their voices. I bet your Spanish is so great! You will have an accent no doubt on your return. Well, keep preaching the love of Christ, and of His Atonement and tender mercy. It is so wonderful to be part of this great church and living in the restoration. I am very grateful to the missionaries that taught me the gospel. I would be living a completely dark life if they had not found me. So you keep looking for those seeking the Lord, and you will find them.

Hey Nelson, I hope you are becoming a great missionary. Since you have left, I, your uncle, have gone the way of Laman & Lemuel. I got tired of standing in the righteous shadow of my youngest brother, your dad. He is our family's Nephi. I just got tired of him always chastising me for the few things I do wrong. You know what I'm talking about. The way he even looks at you with those "judging" eyes, I just can't bare. So, when you come back you can try to bring me back into the fold...if it's not too late. I love you nephew Nelson. Now that you are on the back 1/2 of the Lord's mission, I'll expect to hear lots more good things, ie,... parting of waters, raising the dead, casting out evil spirits, etc. Hugs, Unc Buzz

Hi, Elder,
Don't worry about sending letters, your pictures say a thousand words! I just hope you weren't too close to the edge...The Ward Choir sang "Did you Think to Pray" this Sunday before the High Councilor spoke. It was a very very moving hymn, and has been running through my mind ENDlessly for weeks. It does make me get on my knees before I leave my room though! Our ward seems to be shrinking, and it won't be long before the Barrantines are gone. The primary is especially small. It wasn't that long ago that we had all you CTR's! Josh Phillips and Anna have moved in though, so that's good. Have a good week, and I know you're doing a good job in the office!

Sobrino, ¿cómo va el trabajo? I hope that you are doing well. Aunt JC and I are empty nesters now with McCall having the time of her life at BYU. She sees Cory and Bree from time to time too on campus and will probably have to take Cory to lunch in trade for help on her American Heritage class work. We are looking forward to her coming home for Thanksgiving and we are also going back for General conference in a couple of weeks and will see her. We are proud of you. Be diligent and Bautizar mucha gente. Uncle Brad

Dear Elder Mishler,
Good letters! You are a real inspiration and I am very proud of you. Sounds like you're having plenty of blessings and lots of opportunities to develop faith! Not only are your parents super bikers and tri-athletes, they are going to start playing competitive tennis. jk, but they are good and it's fun for Ben and I to play with them. Lots of Saints playing tennis these days and I love it! Very sad to hear of YM AND YW that have to or want to go home. Stay on the straight path and don't get discouraged. You are on the Lord's errand, and the Ward is blessed for your faithfulness and perseverance. Bro. Gerber was released today, and Bro. Van Dusen called to be 2nd counselor. Take care of yourself, and all those missionaries.

Hey Elder, we were talking about you in our home last night when we had the Elders over for dinner. McCall wast telling how one of her friends was going to Managua and that she should look you up when she is there. I guess that they told her to look for the guys with the white shirts and ties and nametags... who knows, maybe she will run into a couple of Elders. We just got back from Utah Sunday evening after a great week there. Aunt JC was able to walk all over SLC for the week, got the the Temple a couple of times, Museums, stores, Capitol Bldg., etc. McCall was down at a Music Camp at BYU and I worked all week in SLC. McCall is getting excited to start at BYU in August but we will miss her. I hope that you are working hard, being obedient and having great experiences. Elder Mishler, you make us proud. Have a great week. Uncle Brad

Sister Mishler, My son spoke so highly of your son during our phone call. They were roommates before spliting into their own homes. I just wanted to say thank you from one mom to another, for helping make mission life enjoyable.
I would live to visit with you.

Hey Elder Mishler,

The past few days have brought us tropical like rain. Warm and steady! I really don't mind since the rain washes away much of the pollen from the trees. The Hummingbirds don't like the rain but it sure makes me feel better. One of the Elders from our ward is serving in the Anchorage, AK Mission. He was just moved from Anchorage to a remote area of Canada. Tt required a 14 hour bus ride to get him to his new area. We wish him well! Keep on doing well we are proud of you and we know that the Lord is pleased with your efforts.
