So first off I will do as I have done in past letters and I will hit the questions first. That way you don’t need to worry that I will not have time to get to your questions and that way I can ease the worries of my mother who is so dear to me. I first however would like to say that I love you guys so very much and thank you so much for your email! Now for the questions...
1. How long do you think it will take for us to get the CD you sent?
You know I am not really sure, to tell you the truth. I would give it two or three weeks and if it doesn’t come by then, I would start praying.
2. Any last requests for things to be sent in Christmas package as it is going to be mailed today.
No, I don’t really need or want anything so whatever you send will be great! But hey guys I thank you so much for sending me a package there are missionaries that have not gotten any packages at all. It makes me feel bad for them. I am so thankful for you guys and that you send me packages.
3. It is still not too late to change your mind, we could still make arrangements to come and pick you up from your mission when you are finished….it is your call but we would have to know soon.
I think we should still stick with the plan to go to Walt Disney World after I come home, as a family instead of you spending the money to come here. I think you coming here to get me is so expensive and the sacrifice you would have to make to come here would not be worth it because honestly I don’t think it would be very fun for you guys here. But we would all have fun sure at Disney and if the cousins come too, Preston and such that is what I want to do, provided even that is not too expensive.
4. Where are you going to school when you come home?
I think I will stick with my original plan. Go to slcc and finish my general eds and then transfer to the U. I mean why spend more money than you have to on general eds? Slcc is cheaper so I will go there and get my associates degree and then move up to the U to finish.
I hope I gave you all the info you needed in my answers to your questions. Okay now for this week…this week was so much better than last week! We had 8 come to church, which is at least normal. It was so much better that the 2 that came last week! But the best part was that the people we have baptism dates for in December came to church this week! The three people we have a baptism date for on the 6th came and I really have high hopes that they will get baptized on time. We have Fabien, he is a 13 year old kid, then there is Andry who is finally off cigs, then there is Tsialaiva, he is a 19 year old kid that wants to serve a mission and is really cool! They should all make their baptism dates on time, but will you guys please pray for them that they will continue on the path that they are on? I love them so much and they all really want to be baptized and they are really trying hard. That is what is the coolest thing to me…they all have shown such a desire to repent and be better…all of them. They are really neat guys and they will make a wonderful contribution to this branch. It will be awesome to add 3 priesthood holders to this area!
This week Elder Bingham and I made a goal, to have 36 at church by the end of the transfer! It is a high goal and it is going to be a lot of hard work to reach that goal but I know with extreme diligence we can get it. I am really starting to get to know and like Elder Bingham! He is influencing me for the better for sure. I have seen his desire and excitement to do missionary work and I have been inspired myself. I have worked so hard for so long I think I was getting pretty burned out. It is great to have a new guy who is not burned out to help me recapture that energy. He is so cheerful and wants to be diligent. I woke up every morning this past week so excited and ready to tract houses. Like this morning, on p-days usually I am so ready to do something fun or relax, but we woke right up and went tracting and it was great! We found 5 new investigators and one family that was so nice. They were kind of excited to learn about the Book of Mormon. I think it is going to be a great transfer and I think I can make this Elder Fitts’ best transfer yet. Well time is up, I love you guys and I am so happy that I have you guys. Have a good week. I love you guys!
Love,
Elder Peter Franklin Fitts
