It sounds like you are in the same apartment as my son - the greenie from Phoenix, Elder Selin. Is he one of the missionaries that squeezed into the Corolla? Maybe in the trunk? You sound like a lot of fun. I hope you and Elder Roman give Isaac some good training.

When new missionaries go to the field they talk about themselves and the scenery. when good misionaries write the write about their work. when great missionaries write home they write about the effects of the spritit in transforming lives. you are a great missionary Elder Rood

Just thinking about you and wondering how things are going, Hope that you are finding all those lost souls out there that are willing to hear the gospel.
Zach can tell you were a few are!!! lol

He sunburnt his shaved head the other day and he said that it really hurt to put his shirt on over his head. lol He seems to be doing okay and he is learning how to fight. He likes what he is learning. He has gained 3 lbs already which is what he has been trying to do. He really likes the food there. I will have him write to you so he can share some of his experiences. He said that he can't wait for Sundays to come so he can get 3 hours of quiet time. At church he can get away from being called scum and low lifes. Church is a real up lifter. He is getting use to be yelled at. He said that sometimes it is so hard not to laugh at the Drill Instructors. The recruits make fun of them behind their backs.
Take care and I want you to know that I am very proud of you and your willingness to serve the Lord. Keep up the good work and keep your head high. We love you very much.

I love this website. I'm so excited you are in Maryland. Next time I go out to see Krista maybe we will track you down! Thanksgiving is in two days and we are heading down to Coos Bay to see family. I'm looking forward to my mom's yummy turkey and stuffing. My diet will just have to be put on hold for a day! We are keeping you in our prayers.

Just a note to all of Elder Rood's family and friends, he called this morning, and he is doing great! He is so excited to get out to the mission and getting to work. Hey Elder Rood, Just a note to let you know that we are thinking of you going into this thanks giving holiday and the amount of food that will now be available for the resest of us since your going to be gone. Well they called me to be the young mens presedent of the ward. We are planning to go to Canada for a high adventure activity in August. Zack is doing well in school and in scouts. The girls are about to turn 5 on the 22nd and are very excited. Marlo is busy with all the activities of having kids creates. We are very pleased to tell people that I have a nephew on a mission in Maryland.

Just a quick note to let you know we love you. Darrin told me this morning 'I am going to say a prayer for Sean'. so he did. He misses you very much, keeps asking when you are going to leave the MTC and go to Maryland. We pray for you daily that you will be able to learn your spanish and be able to follow the Holy Ghost to those who are seeking the gospel.

Hi there, how are things in the lands to the east? i keep thinking that its snowing over there. is it? i could look at the weather but that would just be silly. i am having a good time and a half at u of o right now despite the schooling. you have a counter on when you will be back. that will be a big day. well now i should be going to my first class sometime i suppose. it is history of the far east but the prof seems more interested in the significancec of the type of pottery used in china. ack. see you around.

sean, congrates on the call. It is great, I had a friend go to baltaimore, he loved, it, aside from gettin a gun pulled on him. Way to go on going thru the temple, we just took my bro to the temple yesterday, it is a great experience.
