Baptisms & Sleeping

Date: October 15, 2006
Area: Jinga
Companion: Elder Masa

I baptized two people yesterday. It was nice. When I first came to this mission I was very disappointed to find out that the members are suppose to perform all the baptisms to act as a way of "fellowshipping". I wanted to do it! So when we asked Sister Irene who she wanted to baptize her, she insisted that I do it. And I guess that's the only time that we're allowed to baptize. So I was able to baptize Sis. Irene and Bro. James. It was nice.

It's very hot every day. I'm not sure of the exact temperature, but I would guess mid 90's with LOTS of humidity. My shoes are awesome. I'm very glad that I decided to get the ones I have. Several of the elders here have complimented. At night I have a tiny pillow that I fold in half and 1 sheet that I don't use. I usually go to bed sweating and wake up sweating. I’m just now starting to be able to sleep "almost" through the whole night.
