Thanks for lesson. It was nice. I'm actually going to try and regurgitate some of it this week at our district meeting. But I had about the same feelings about the situation that you did. So it's an answer to prayers for you to confirm them. And we've been able to find a lot of potential people this past week. Saturday President Christensen came to interview Bujagali for baptism and other issues involving polygamy. He proved himself to have a change of heart and prepare to enter into baptismal covenants. His baptism yesterday was awesome! His friend, Lucas, who referred him to us was the one to baptize him. They were both very happy. Just before he was baptized he was asked to stand in the front so everyone could see him. He stood up and looked back to the crowd of people and said with a fist pound to the air, "Praise the Lord" and then sat down. I was sitting next to him and I almost started to laugh. It was just a cool moment.
My companion is getting transferred to Mukono and he's going to be with Elder Muia. So he's not training like we all thought he would. And he's still a junior companion. The Lord must have him on some sort of secret undercover mission to make the rest of the mission more obedient. Because he is pretty obedient. I don't know who my new companion is yet, because I'll be training again and they won't arrive in Uganda until next week on Wednesday. Seven new Elders, four Americans and three Africans. And there's two new sisters coming, Tanzania and Kenya. One of them will be coming to my district, but that means that they're taking one out to go and train the other one in Kabowa. It's too bad too. They're taking Sister Kazimoto, and she's powerful! So we'll miss her. I guess the new sister coming is one of the girls my trainer (Elder Masa) used to date back home in Kenya. He even showed me pictures of her about year ago when I was with him. So I'll get to see her in person pretty soon.
We're thinking of a nice prank to play on the new Elder I'll be training in the house. I think a nice prank will be a good ice breaker as long as we show immediate love and charity afterwards. Not quite sure what we'll do yet. But I promise, whatever it is, he won't forget it for the rest of his life. To be honest I was really expecting some jokes pulled on me when I came. But they never did, I was kind of disappointed. Anyways, if you have any ideas let me know...
Thanks for getting that book for Dallan. That guy sounds like he's seriously preparing! That's awesome! If you're not careful, he'll be teaching You doctrine pretty soon. You're little Puddy is growing up so fast... The floods have had zero effect on us here. I've been seeing it in the headlines of the newspapers, but that's about it. The Lord watches over us. We never found out who broke into the apartment. And my health is fine. I've felt like my kidneys were hurting lately, but that might just be a sign of dehydration. Not drinking enough water... Let's hope I don't have to pass any stones! I don't use any hair product. Except for certain missionary conferences when I feel like I should "dress up." But I think I might need to arrange some new contacts pretty soon. I'll send the empty boxes home so you can figure out my prescription from the numbers on it and then set something up with the optometrists in the area. Shouldn't be too complicated I don't think. And I was thinking you could send some cantaloupe seeds. They don't have any here, but I'm assuming it would grow. Even watermelon, pumpkin, & strawberries. That's all I can think of.
Have a great week!
