Upcoming transfers, less-actives, Uganda Time, Prayer works

The week was kind of fast. It was weird knowing all week that my companion was going to be leaving. They usually don't announce those transfers until just a few days before they happen. But things were a little different this time, due to the people going home and new Elders coming. I'll be receiving my new companion on Thursday. I think I'll be sleeping at the mission home Wednesday night, and then receive a "trainers training" and then find out who I'm actually going to be training. I think they'll just line us all up, and tell us who we're with. Kind of suspenseful. New Mission President, new style.

The work seems like it's going to really start leaning towards less active members. We're now supposed to report every Sunday night the number of less-actives that come to church. How easy is that going to be? I have to go around and ask people when the last time they came to church to try and determine if they're less-active. And with four companionships in one branch I don't know if people are investigators or less-actives. I just know my own investigators. Well I guess we'll just try and figure out some method to the madness. But it's true, we need to start reactivating! Even retaining is a problem.

We had a movie on Saturday. I talked some people into bringing the projector from Kampala so we could show the "Restoration" and "The Testaments" back to back at the church. It was a decent show up. I had to use some strategy though. I told everyone to be there at 1:30, with the thought that we would really start at 2:30. It's what we refer to as Ugandan Time. Always late... But it worked perfect! There were actually a few people that showed up at 3:00. But it worked out nicely.

Our teaching pool is starting to go through a transition. The Lord has placed new people in our path. So we're dropping the old ones. Just like that... Prayer works, I don't know how else to put it.
